it took a travelling man, a poorly girl and a rainy day to find my way here...
yes, it's been a long time, but all that matters - as usual - is here and now!
a lot of change happened over the last month and what I'd like to share with you, and realised again over this period of time, how much yoga off the mat is happening constantly. what's so important for me is that I notice more and more of it and with that can deepen my practice on and off the mat.
I had to cut back my time on the mat dramatically in the past month. it was not an easy step and the transition was anything but smooth. it wasn't only the cut down of physical yoga practice that made it hard. a complete change of rhythm, plus new challenges to work on, didn't make it easier. but hey, easy is boring right!?
now thanks to all this great time I got to spent on my mat over the past years I had the strength to pull it through and find my inner balance and peace.
to allow myself to not step onto my mat for a physical practice every single day wasn't easy to accept. but to do modified cobra in a classroom full of 7-year olds, without anyone noticing, does lift your spirit. to pull the brake and have the same class do lion breath or tree pose before going straight back to work makes one realise where the real yoga takes place. yes, off the mat :-)
I appreciate the time I do get on my mat so much more. I choose the poses more carefully than ever. therefor I listen even more carefully within...
and again, the breath is with me and I notice and focus more and more when my heart starts racing and the mind spinning, because I still think - I have to do it all.
breath in - let
breath out - go
happy and grateful to be on my way...sending love and smiles your way!
