it's only 8.20pm, but it feels like after midnight...maybe because I did start off at 5.30am again - to breath and meditate, welcoming the day. yes, it's hard sometimes but oh, I love this early hour just for me, getting ready...and then...
the big girl, already in my bed. enjoying lots of space as Daddy is travelling...
the little girl, rolling over once I enter, telling me to just go on as she will get ready herself, just after another couple minutes in bed...
and it's funny how they sometimes start their day...my little angel asked for the breakfast I used to eat when I was a little girl. oats with cocoa and milk. oh, how she loves it. telling me, Mummy please can I have cocoa the way you used to eat it... (I have to admit I did make me a bowl of exact the same thing!)
and that's how our breakfast conversation started to be about "when Mummy was a little girl"...oh, they love it!
we did make it to school in time! off they went...off I went...to teach a yoga class!
and that's how grateful I am to do what I do...I had to rush to the studio, as before I had to let a workman in at home and well, let's just say, things didn't run that smooth, so I was running a little late.
but once I entered the breathing room I left it all behind. I love this spaces energy and magic... and well, what a class...
a lot of people who usually cannot do my morning classes could come because of the presidential elections in Egypt! how wonderful...people got a day off and could start their day with a yoga class...and we did send all our good vibes out on the streets...
filled up with great energy and lots of smiles from my students I did my own practice before heading home again...realising that I have still some time on my hands as I have my little girl going for a play date :-)
could the time've been used any better than with a cup of chai latte, a shower and a quick browse through recipes I'd like to make soooooooooooooon...like this and that...not to forget the cookie to go with the latte (made the day before for the kids, who were too busy swimming to eat them!)
not to forget the beautiful "berries" I got at my vegetable place!
as I didn't have to do an early pick up, I went for the big girl, taking the chance to spend some time one on one. excited to find out what she'd choose to do...
of course - ice cream, at stavolta! after that we went to the local mall to search for a white t-shirt for my big girls "creative stitching project"...watch the space!
unfortunately the most important shop was closed for prayer... (welcome to Egypt)
while we had our little shopping trip, my big girl convinced me to have a sleep over tonight... also the street outside got quite crowded as there is a polling station just next to the mall, and obviously more and more people came to vote...
we left our driver and car sit in traffic and walked home to get things ready. by the time we were ready, luckily also he was home!
with traffic being really bad around the house I got ready for some time in the car to pick up the little girl (snacks, water, books, and colours).
I dropped my big girl and couldn't quite catch up on sleep in the car, as it only took us half an hour to reach the house of my little girls playmate!
and as it seemed to be my lucky day, same on the way back...just enough time for me and the little girl to finish the popcorn ;-)
and here we are now...we enjoyed a shower and a little movie together, before this little angle of mine went off to bed, sound asleep now while Mummy is reflecting about...
just another day for you and me in paradise!
