week-end

laughing into the week-end watching this Friday night. the girls stayed up to watch too. a special treat, good fun.

exciting Saturday morning as we went on our first trip with our new car. to Ikea it was...guess I'll know that way pretty well soon :-)

a slow Sunday, just the way it's supposed to be. we all, dreaming about how things could look once we're in our house, while at the breakfast table enjoying this cake-gift we brought back from our Saturday tour.
I spent the afternoon with my big girl (while the little girl had some Daddy time at home). we walked along the lake, chatting, gazing - getting energy for a new week.

this moment

especially grateful for this morning!
since yesterday Geneva is hosting a Yoga Music Festival. for a while I knew that a special woman will be here to give a concert... I had to miss it.
pure luck made me open the programme for today and, don't ask me how I missed that little fact before, Janin Devi (the special woman) & Kai were teaching a Mantra Yoga class this morning!

no picture and no words could describe the energy that was shared, the special moment I experienced.
I am grateful, I am blessed.
to practice with live music is something I haven't done before. to me it was pure magic and just what I needed this morning.

step by step

my girls started school last week and since that last Monday I feel as if the days are just flying by, every one is too short, but within all that I can still find my space, just need to remind myself once in a while to take it step by step.

hope you don't mind me sharing a few steps with you :-)

"you go first, says the soul to the body, as he/she's not listening to me"
oh, how true is that! I found that little reminder with my tea last night...doubt that needs more words, does it.

the school start for both girls went quite smooth, so far. as I said, it was an intense week...meeting all this new faces, deciding for outer school activities, making it to meetings and especially in time for pick up!
I still managed a few big steps during my mornings:
signed up for a French course
made it to the Sivananda center and this wonderful yoga studio
found back into my meditation practice using a meditation app and loving it!

the weather has been fully on our side, showing the first signs of autumn. how exciting for us...chestnut crafting started and a few coloured leaves are collected already.

Sunday was spent at the lake, where my big girl decided to take part in a wake board competition. after just learning this sport 2 weeks ago, I am pretty impressed she did it - the smile on her face says it all.

yes, it's an intense time, but we're enjoying it and try to take one step at a time. we try to remember to take breaks, be the crazy family we like to be, as laughter is what we need most on the days it all just gets too much.
I am most grateful to have this two girls who are just crazy enough and help putting many smiles on our faces :-)
